Help! Can't start Gnome, RH9


Eeep!, I just installed Xine and several of it's dependent libraries, Xine worked great, but when I rebooted, gnome stops loading after I log in.

I did CTRL-ALT-F1 and logged in as root, did a ps and stopped process "X", the screen flashed and I was back to the gui login for gnome...

if anyone could help me in debugging this, that would be great.
