FLAC won't play in rhythmbox-xine
Hi,
sorry to bother y'all, but I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem that's been driving me mad.
I'm trying to use rhythmbox-xine to listen to my FLAC files under FC2 with Gnome 2.6, and I can import them into my library just fine. However, every time I play a file, it plays for a few seconds (with no sound), marks the file as having been played (i.e. updates the "number of times played" and "last played" fields), and then skips onto the next track. It then repeats this until it it runs out of tracks. I have tried ripping files with a variety of options in both Grip and Sound Juicer, but to no avail.
Under "audio formats" in rhythmbox's about window, it's says "mp3 Vorbis FLAC", and as far as I'm aware I have all the dependencies I need to play FLAC files - they play OK in XMMS.
Rhythmbox plays Ogg Vorbis and mp3 files fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
