Can't start MPlayer

I compile MPlayer with gui option:

./configure --enable-gui

and put the skin directory in the /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin/ directory.

when I start MPlayer use command: gmplayer

I have these errore messages:
Code:
Reading config file /usr/local/etc/mplayer/mplayer.confReading config file /root/.mplayer/config
[cfg] read config file: /root/.mplayer/gui.conf
Reading config file /root/.mplayer/gui.confvo: X11 running at 1024x768 with depth 24 and 32 bpp (":0.0" => local display)
Reading /root/.mplayer/codecs.conf: Reading /usr/local/etc/mplayer/codecs.conf: Using built-in default codecs.conf.
font: can't open file: /root/.mplayer/font/font.desc
font: can't open file: /usr/local/share/mplayer/font/font.desc
Using Linux hardware RTC timing (1024Hz).
SKIN dir 1: '/root/.mplayer/Skin'
SKIN dir 2: '/usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin'
[skin] file ( /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin/default/skin ) not found.
I think it got something to do with configuration, can anyone help me this?

Thanks a lot.

I download the skin and put it in the /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin directory.
I haven't downloaded any font and codecs, do I have to do it? However, I could play movie in command line by typing mplayer not gmplayer

gmplayer needs the fonts. if you install all the codecs, you will be able to play just about all video files - realplayer, quicktime, windows media files and many more.

MPlayer try to find the Default Skin for the first run. You Must download the Default Skin First and other skin you want if you already copy the Default skin into Mplayer skin dir.

Download the Skin at www.mplayerhq.hu

the mplayer homepage (where you get the main player code) has codecs fonts and skins - follow the links

There is no default skin. Just grab one you like and rename it "default". If you get an error about "font.desc" that means you built an extra directory when you untarred it. Check your path. (I screw that up all the time.)
