Can't login using ssh keys

I am having problems setting up ssh keys so that a user on one box can login to another box without being prompted with a login. This is very frustration considering that this process is very simple. I will try to break it down. I have three boxes, A .. B and C.

A is suppose to login to B without a login prompt
A is suppose to login to C without a login prompt

A does not have any problems using ssh to connect to C without a login prompt.

I copy the authorized_keys file to B but when I try to login to B from A I still get a login prompt. I have even tried specifing the key I want to use using the -i option but it still doesn't work. Is there something that I am not thinking of?

Hi,

Here's an idea. Don't copy across the authorized key file. On A, append the public key to the authorized key file on B. Then try. At work, I do it that way and works 100% all the time, I never transfer across the authorized key files
