Can't find cpp*.deb package

I am trying to install the ppp package onto my debian box. I get a dependency error saying 'depends on cpp , however package cpp is not installed'. I just completed the base install from floppy, now trying to connect to the internet via verzion dsl.

I look on a debian FTP mirror (specifically, but I can not find this package? cpp*.debain. Could someone point me in the right direction?
