Angry Can't find base package


I have a cyrex 100 processer. Three hard drives I, The first one is 10 gig,2 gig on the second, 620 on the third. have windows on the first, I want to install mandrake Linux 8.1 on the second. The problem I have is when it is time to install packages I get a can't find base package. Also the grapfics arn't the same as the book. I have origonal cd's. :smash:
