Question Burning DVD's (Videos)

I have a MPEG file that I would like to burn onto a video DVD so that it plays when I insert the DVD; I don't need menus or anything. Does anyone know how to do this?

I originally had this file as a DivX, but I successfully converted it to an MPEG because I know that's what DVD's are in. I'm thinking of trying cdrecord or xcdroast to burn the DVD in the end...from what I understand they have the capability of burning DVDs. I've read reports that I have to copy the structure of a valid DVD, but I have yet to find a good tutorial of how to do this.

Any suggestions, comments, or references would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps something like this? Link provided from a recent story at lwn.net.
