Apache user won't access audio device

Hello, people!
I have a question!

I've been trying to give the apache user account access to /dev/dsp, but even if I run chmod 777 /dev/dsp apache still can not access the device.

Is the wwwrun or apache account limited in some other way that it can not access the audio device?
If I modify apache to use another username it works, but I don't know why it doesn't work with "apache".

SELinux will prevent that access as a security issue. Check for an audit message in /var/log/messages or /var/log/audit/audit.log.

Red face Thanks

Thanks for your help. I've decided to disable SELinux entirely.
