We are running Red Hat Linux Server and is installed with our customised Application which we use to do our daily duties. We connect to this server using putty. Apparantly, I have a problem to print to one of the printer. I have installed TCP/IP Print Server and I have turned firewall off. TCP/IP Print Server have been started. The printer is shared. When I call lpq -P <IP Address> from the linux I can see the queue of jobs to be printed but they cannot be printed. We are using dot matrix printers. Generic/Text Only drivers installed

I don't understand what this has to do with Win xp, but it sounds like a driver problem.
Evidently whatever you're using as a printer driver is getting the print command, and seeing the printer.
It's also trying to telling the printer to print but is stuck because the printer isn't being told to print in a way that it understands.
In the past for me, this has always come back to the printer driver is the improper one being used.
