i have a basic question why hasn't openOffice got clip art like Microsoft Word has , where does this lead us to.

and can you share your information like MS office product can like group share or bizshare , you know groupware or something like that.

O one last thing where can I download a Outlook express that will work with Redhat i need the calendar and address book function.

There is limited clipart. Select View-->DataSources. Not a lot, but some. I would suspect that Word liscences 14,000 images for 99c and then included them with the $300 package. It isn't likely that OpenOffice is going to pay 99c for you to enjoy clipart with the free program that they are giving you.

I don't know what you mean by group share or bizshare. If you mean, can you use your MS clipart CD with OpenOffice, yes.

There is no linux version of outlook, however, you already have korganizer, kaddressbook, etc installed. Look under your start menu for these. There are a lot of good calendar and address books. Take a look at evolution.

i also wanted to be clear about OpenOffice clipart I didn't meant 140000 clips where are they i meant the interface can open office achieve the same result you know when you click on clip art you get this browser that shows you what images are where all in categorize order.

I may be the one who needs to go back to school. I have never had Windows or Office, so can't comment on bizware, etc. :-)

The other, if you open the data sources, you will see the current categories. You can simply add new directories. For example, I added all the directories under /opt/kde3/share/icons.

Simply select New Them, find files, and enter that main path. You know have all icons available as clipart.

you know something i wish and i really mean it , i wish i never used Windows or any of its product , the problem is so many people are now use to it and are lazy to move to Linux or when they do move to Linux its a big cluture shock as they don't know where to go for support and help.


I work in Education in UK for the local LEA and beleive me so many school are fed up of all the problem they get using Windows Product even XP is crap. when the boom was up and running in between 1997and 2000 people were buying windows 98 of course 3 years later MS stated that it was with drawing support for Windows 95 and Windows 98 , so what happens people realize that buying another CD that cost 50p with MS XP written on it for the price of £ 200 pounds was just too much. this is where Linux comes in saddly not many people know about it. Anyway i hope i made my point and thanks for your help.


Linux is cool product and needs 20 % work doing then its ready for the end user we here at Linux question are ready to give all support we can free of charge.
