Whiite linux (debian squeeze and gnome) doesn't let me on the terminal!

My dilemma is really that I forgot to create a user and now I can't log in root!
I cannot figure it out. I have searched google everything I could think of

If only I could get into the root terminal.........

I am running Whiite linux version Debian Squeeze,
on a Black Wii with keyboard support and a Compaq internet keyboard - 18 keys,
and an old mouse hooked up to a usb converter (so it converts the old socket to usb).

The Whiite linux actually is a loader for debian linux.
It is running in the sd card slot on a 8 gig. pny sdhc card.

Thank you for your time,
super

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Is something stopping you from pressing Ctrl-Alt-F1 and logging in from there?

In the future if you forget your Root Password these instructions will help.

Try what R3nCi said and put into motion Ctrl-Alt-F1-

Other than that the only other thing I can think of is to re-install your distro and this time don't forget to set up a Root Password as it is essential,

This is not about a forgotten root password. Debian (like almost any other modern distro) does not allow root logins to the GUI by default. So if you don't have an unprivileged account you have to login using the terminal.

Thumbs up Thank You!

I've figured it out thanks to R3nCi and Ztcoracat! The combination of Ctrl-Alt-F1 was amazing!
It brought me to the original screen and I got to log in as root - the main screen wouldn't let me!

I think it is safe to call this post SOLVED!

Thank you for your time,
Supermeow
