plz help, i've no more hair to pull
over here in our small office we run linux on a server, and we divide users into groups, each group mapped to shared folders.
past few weeks ago i noticed a growing amount of *.TMP/tmp files, and '4EB00' and similar files.
some are zero, some nearly 1MB's..
something like this. those files are marked as read only, even in 'public'..

why didn't microsoft office removed them automatically as they wud, usually?
i've been manually removing them *.TMP's thru the server (on the pc cannot delete, server sez 'read only or file in use'), but it's getting tedious!
anything i can do (aside frm re-formatting the server) ? anyone wif same (and solved) problem?
tq in advance.
