ugraded to 9.10 and now firefox doesn't wotk

I have just upgraded to 9.10 and now firefox doesnt work. It starts up and says done but doesn't seem to be getting on line and the screen is blank. It was fine before the upgrade
Please help as my wife is pretty angry!

You "upgraded to 9.1," but what are you referring to?

What distribution are you using? Did you upgrade the distro to version 9.1, or something else?

The best idea at the moment might be to start firefox from the command line, try to navigate to some pages, and then post all of the output that appears in the console here.

If you mean Ubuntu 9.10, it is no longer supported by Canonical. Try 10.04 Lucid Lynx.
