Question Still a n00b, can't get .rpm installed

I know there are probably half-a-dozen different, good guides on how to solve this issue, but they're so hard to find.

I downloaded a driver for my video card. It's in .rpm format. I can NOT figure out how to get the darned thing installed. Maybe I'm stupid. Maybe I need some more sleep. I don't know, but I would greatly appreciate help with this. It would suck if I had to boot to windows to use both monitors effectively.

Well you could have had and answer in .0024 seconds if youd just typed "Install RPM" into a search engine...

even less time if you'd typed "man rpm" into a terminal. since that would load the help manual...

I've made a article with the basics explained. You can find it at: http://www.linuxaddicted.org/index.p...&pid=27&dbid=1

After that, refer to the "man rpm" for more details. This article will help you understand rpm easy ...

Hope this helps,

I do appreciate the helpful advice for such an obviously stupid question.

What I should have done is gone to bed. If I'm too tired to google, I'm definitely too tired to ask others to help me.
