My media can't play flash, how to make it work?

I downloaded many funny flashes, but unfortunately they can't play at all in my media player. How to make the flashes play well in media player? Many thanks!

mplayer should play .flv files just fine. But it doesn't do action script, so swf files can't be played. There are a number of front ends to mplayer, like kplayer, kmplayer, gnome-mplayer, and many more.

Thanks very much. Actually I don't need action script, because I just watch flashes not to play. Is there some program to solve the problem?

I have a SWF to AVi converter which helps me convert flashes to avi/flv, good to use, maybe it can help you.

Then mplayer (or any derivative) should be able to play them as I said on the other post.

I am not 100% sure, but vlc should do the job as well.

When you installed mplayer, are you sure you installed all its codecs as well?

Mplayer is capable of playing .flv files as stated above, but only if its codecs are correctly installed and accessible.
