Mandrake's Live CD - Virtual Space

I downloaded Mandrake Linux's Live CD and ran my laptop using it. What I want to know is that where does it store the files created by us during the session as I had created a couple of text files while working. Are these in some drive hidden away in the hard disk or are these just some temp files deleted after we take out the live cd.
