I am new to linux so I find myself reinstalling it all the time
and I'm tired of waiting for the updates to download via yum. So I downloaded all the updates from a mirror/server to a computer on my local network. I can get yum to log onto my local network ftp program and go though the list of all my rpm's. The problem is I don't think i have all the files i need from the fedora mirror so yum will fail at the very end of listing the programs needing to be updated. I'm running FC3-x86_64 can someone please tell me what all areas I need in my local ftp from the mirror ie: what folders, and if you have time, what the yum files should look like. I spent a lot of time online looking and as I said I'm new so a lot of info is over my head. I'm just hate reinstalling FC3 and waiting for the updates. I guess one can say I'm hard headed trying to learn linux on my own with trial and error. Thank you in advance.
