Instead of using Grub, how do I use Lilo as my boot manager? Is lilo even installed with Mandrake 10? I don't remember being asked which boot manager to use. If grub is default loader, how do I change to lilo as default??
hi
if lilo is installed as ur boot manager then
go to rescue mode
there mount ur present linux distribution,
in redhat we do this by
#chroot /mnt/sysimage
then
#vi /etc/lilo.conf.anaconda
edit it acordingly
then save it as /etc/lilo.conf
and run 'lilo'
if unable to get what u want the to come back to grub
in rescue mode
#grub-install /dev/hda
will bring u back to grub
also why do want to remove grub???
any problems??? we will discuss the here.....
regards
u can find out this by runing the command "lilo"
if command not found then lilo is not installed or if lilo.conf not found then do as i advised u in my earlier post
