Installing themes is "Conflicting" with Firefox's GUI?

I don't mean that it prevents me from using it, on the contrary, it changes all of the text boxes to the same color, making it hard if it's not a conflicting color. I want to install dark themes such as Cobra and Aero-ion but they conflict with Firefox, and I don't want to use Chromium. Do I have to stick with basic and default themes if I want to customize or switch to Google Chromium? Can someone point out a website that, well, has ones compatible with Firefox 4?

Firefox is quite bad at handling dark themes. To the point of being unusable with some of them. That's also a problem with opera and most browsers (or at least, it used to be that way the last time I checked), I can tell you from my personal experience. So, your only choice is probably to pick a different colour theme.

The firefox themes, last time I checked, change the background of the interface but little more. They have no control over menus and textboxes, as far as I know.

Chromium is slightly better at handling dark colours, but not perfect either. You'll always have to be a bit careful or modify the colours a bit so they have a good contrast on non-native toolkits, or, choose a browser that uses either QT or Gtk+, whatever your toolkit of choice is. Howerver, that will only help with the native interface elements. If the browser doesn't render the html part using a while background and the page doesn't specify it you will still have problems with that, and probably with the html forms as well.
