hope this helps, its taken me hours to figure out.. and lots of other probs I initially had with the acer, but now working well. Go to your terminal window, and type the following,it is all case and space sensitive. (comments in brackets, not to be typed).
su (enter)
(password)
cd /mnt/home/.local/share/applications/wine/programs (enter)
ls (enter)(this will then show you a listing of your programs mine were loaded from wine my example follows)
rm -rf DVD43 (enter)
Right click on your desktop to open xfce to see if the program has been removed, it worked on mine, to find were your files are use the following command in terminal
find / -name *.desktop -exec grep DVD43 {} \; -print
