Finding Lib's

Is there a central location to find lib's? Or a place to find what you would need to install to get a lib you need? I need to install libfribidi so that I can install Mplayer, but I can't seem to find a place to get it from. I am using Mandriva 2005LE & tried URPMI to get that lib but nothing was found. Please help. Thank you.

Use URPMI to install mplayer - it will grab the dependencies for you (or it should, if configured properly...) Go here to properly configure it.

As for that library, you'll want to visit the FriBiDi Wiki I believe.

I updated the URPMI set up. I thought that I had all of those installed. I tried again to do a URPMI for fribidi & it tells me that it has to remove fribidi-0.10.4-5mdk. Then it won't remove it to update it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you for the help so far.
