error2002 (hy000): can't connect to local mysql server through socket '/var/run/mysql

Hi All I'm newbie here asking for help

I'm using VMware for my Redhat Linux where my sql is installed

I receive this error from the time we transfer our server to our new office this February 9th.

I don't know what to do i already search this in google and tried solutions still not solve.

You should give more information about the problem like?

How did you migrate the database? What was changed in the new server compare to old during migration?

No database migration was done. only physical server for eg. i move the ibm x3550 from office a to office b.
no changes was done also...
