do_ypcall: clnt_call: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = No route to host
Hi,
Environment:
We have sun and linux servers, where the relationship is NIS master (sun server), sun servers send data to linux servers to process and applications run in linux.
Problem:
This morning, our NIS master server down (due to ram prob), and what happen is all the sun servers able to bind to NIS Slave, able to communicate to other sun and windows servers but not Linux servers.
Detailed Problem:
sun_server[sab]% rsh linux01

sun_server[sab]% telnet linux01

It can't go into linux servers eventhough login and password i put is correct and having the above error. Between linux to linux, there is no problem. Once the NIS Master is up, the problem resolved.
Where is the prob, in Sun or Linux?
In Linux, how to make it able to failover to NIS slave?
I'm still new to all these server and network config in linux, appreciate your help.
