Detecting then assigning laptop's Start button to Power Key in GNOME

How would I do this? First part of the thread title is because I'm not sure if the install of Debian Squeeze would even detect the Start key. (Btw, is there a small enough sticker of the GNOME logo I could buy and put over the Windows logo?

I don't find this an essential task, but it would make life a lot easier.

Edit: I mean Super Key not Power.

What functions you can assign to the Super Key depends a lot on what Window manager you are using.

I know that, in Fluxbox, you make it a hot key for key-mapping. Here's an excerpt from my Fluxbox keys file. "Mod4" is the Windows or Super key:
