Question Client can't resolve dns

my client has problem with their domain controller, can't send and receive mail.
Note: we are isp, then we give them one domain name which is our sub domain name!

EX: our dns: dns1.isp.com

Their domain which give by us: client.com.kh

Please advice!

"Domain controller" indicates a Windows environment -- or is it a Samba domain controller?
