CENTOS 5 postfix

hello.. i need help..

i am trying to create a linux mail server under centos 5. I already configured my main.cf and other requirements needed for my mail server.

I opened my squirrel mail (which is my webmail) and found out that I cant be able to send and receive emails.

I did try to send email using my gmail account to my newly email server..

I received this kind of reply from my gmail

"Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain xxxxxxxx.com by mail.xxxxxx@xxxxxx.com "

and he error that the other server returned was:
554 5.7.1 xxxxxx@xxxxx.xom: Relay access denied


can someone help me to solve this?

Have you configured it to accept mail for xxxxxx.com?
It needs to be included in $mydestination

Also you will need an IMAP server (dovecot or such) for clients (such as squirrelmail or thunderbird or such) to connect to, to read mail.

hello sir.. yes i already have a webmail (squirrelmail) and dovecot.. i am done configuring dovecot but still i cant be able to send and receive emails.. though all emails that are being sent were placed to the SENT items..


please help..

Well, you will need to check your mail.log and fix the things it says is wrong (like refusing mail to your chosen domain).

upon checking the logs..

its more on the mail scanner configuration and spammassassin.. whar will i do?

Turn off mail scanner until your get the server working correctly.

i turned it off right now.. and still nothing happens..

And have you fixed your configuration or found some relevant log messages?

I collected the logs from the moment i stop the services of the mail scanner up to this very moment..
can you please help me to investigate the logs?

On the plus side, dovecot seems to be working

If inteltechinc.com is your domain, you still have to set it in $mydestination.
