Can not find a way to get online with ubuntu 10-04

can you post an ifconfig. are you using dhcp or a static ip?
please provide more info so we can help you.

What type of setup are you looking for? Wired or wireless??? Is this a brand new system, was it online before if it isn't? Lots of questions to be answered, but as stated earlier, posting the output from ifconfig is a good way for anyone to try and help you resolve the problem.

Go to System>Preferences>Network connections and you will be able to setup whatever connection you want. I have Huawei Modem, LAN and wireless network working on My Lucid

Dial up?

My experiance with Ubuntu is ethenet connection s are no brainers so is this a dial up or a wireless issue?
