can't remove smb server connection from desktop ???

I can't seem to find any info anywhere but this has happened on 2 different suse 10.0 installs. After getting my wireless adapter up and running I start trying to see if I can connect with my windows shares. I can see the workgroup and both other PC's but when I click to view the shares it says it cannot connect. Not the end of the world. I'm a noob and am probably doing something wrong. I'm just happy I could get my wireless to work flawlessly. So the problem is that when you try to connect to the windows pc it adds the mapped folder icon on the desktop. The smb share. It will not delete. It says you have to unmount it. I have no unmount option. From the console also. It says I don't have permission even though I'm root and identifies the user as unknown. Any help would be awesome cause this is annoying me.

I'm assuming you are using the KDE desktop. Look at your Desktop configuration. Under Behavior -> Device Icons: Make sure "Unmounted Samba Share" is unselected. it's about 3rd from the bottom of the list.

I hope you didn't mean in your message that you log into KDE as root.
