I think this is silly. I'm no Ubuntu fan, in fact, I don't use it. But many many people do use it and have no trouble at all with 9.10.
If you are affected by a particular bug, especially a critical one, then sure, it's a showstopper
for you. And maybe a different distro or release would be better for you. If you have an integrated Intel graphics chip, you sure as hell don't want to be using Ubuntu 9.04, for example. But every new release of Ubuntu since I've started using linux has been criticized roundly for being buggier and worse than the release before and frankly and it's tiresome.
