Can't get Mandrake to boot.

I'm running a duel boot system w/ Mandrake 9.2 and WinXp Pro. I have set apart a partition of 15 GB for Mandrake. I auto allocated the partition for Linux and it installed w/out a problem. The problem starts when I try and boot it. When I boot into linux it always stops @ "Finding module dependencies" then the cursor just blinks forever a few spaces after the text. I think it has something to do with the image being unmounted incorrectly but I'm not sure. What's going on and what can I do to fix it???
