** Seeking good mail server howtos! **

Hey everyone =)

I have a Debian Lenny server up and running, barely any configuration done outside of "Falko's Perfect Server - Debian Lenny with ISP Config 3" tutorial from howtoforge.

I have the following installed:

POSTFIX
Courier
Squirrel Mail
Spam Assassin
ISP Config 3
PHP
MySQL

I am searching for a person to talk to about setting this up, or a link to a guide or even some materials you think I should read prior to digging into this project. I am struggling finding the information myself, and have been to many forums looking for the answers.

Basically, I have a website let's say www.mydomain.net. I want to be able to have emails showing that domain name, like me@mydomain.net. Can anyone direct me where I need to be?

Thanks a million everyone, I really need a hand on this one =)

Well the first question would be about your network. Does your ISP give you a static IP address or is it Dynamic? What is your budget looking like? I ask about the budget because if you have a static IP you usually can pay like $30 a month and get a nameserver to point to your IP and you can set your domain to point to that nameserver. If you don't want to spend anymoney then I am sure there is a way to manage www.mydomain.net and have it point to a dynamic dns address. Basically to you need to figure out to route the domain mydomain.net to your house. Once you get that in place you can the login to your router and setup port forwarding to redirect the traffic to your server.

Once you have communications setup you can then really dig in to customizing the box itself.

I have the webserver online and working, it is currently hosting one site and has a test site up for my future sufuku.net web site, the only issue is I cannot figure out the email setup side of this. I have the necessary programs, I am looking for the howto or information on setting up the email accounts on the site that I already serve.

Does this help?
