Router to switch not giving an IP.
Hi, I'm running Debian and oddly enough when it starts up and tries to run all the networking stuff it fails to start up eth0.
Now, what's interesting is that connecting my debian box to my router will let the networking stuff run through its paces and everything works great.
When I put a hub inline(basically a netgear RP114 router set to act as a hub, DHCP turned off), it comes up with the no DHCPOFFERS received. And it can't connect to the network. I also have a windows box hooked up to the hub (which I'm posting from right now) and everything works fine), only the debian box has a hard time being granted an IP. I've tried using all the ports, switching cables... I know the hardware isn't bad because the windows machine has no trouble connecting with any combination of ethernet cables and ports.
The base router is a Linksys WRT54GS, hacked with DD-WRT, if that makes any difference.
