no internet after update
Two days ago an update wiped out my internet. How can I reconnect?
I use Fed. 16. An update installed the latest kernel, and network manager. On reboot, I noticed that the networkmanager icon was missing. I went to System settings, Network. That says 'the system network services are not compatible with this version'
So no internet with Fed 16.
How can I reverse this, given I now have no internet???
I tried NetworkManager up I get no error message, but no internet.
I downloaded NetworkManager.rpm, a version from 2011, but it won't install, it says 'failed to install, no transaction' I don't know what that means!
I also tried booting an earlier kernel, but no joy.
I can download anything using Ubuntu. Any tips out there??
