Last night, my dad decided to unplug my cord from the router and plug it back in. Since then, my internet just wont work. I use Ubuntu Breezy and have been for... three days. Both my computer and the computer with the router is set up to DHCP. Also, sometimes when I boot up my computer it gets hung up on "Waiting for network Interface" and refuses to start.

Any help would be fantastic I want my computer to work again.

is there something wrong with the router? what kind of router is it, or do you mean a PC is doing the routing?

I use Linksys router, and a Linksys wireless router. I can't get the exact models right now, but I'll post again with them! This computer does not have a wireless card.

Make sure the cable connector is securely inserted into the router.
Make sure the link light for the port where your PC is plugged into is illuminated.
The connector and or cable might be damaged.

run the console commands (as root)
ifdown eth0
ifup eth0

Check via ifconfig command to see if an IP address is being assigned.
