Why? You can download it for free from the Mint website, and put it on a USB stick (or DVD if you want to) easily. And the latest version is 20, so why would you even want the older version??

The computer that I am now using is so old ( like me ) that a DVD is the only way that I can get a 19.3 os. Yes I can do a download but my old computer can not put it on a DVD; so therefore I ask what I have asked.

I concur with others, download the image and put it on suitable media you can use.

Sorry, no. Again, you can burn the ISO image to a USB thumb-drive easily, and use it for installation..there is zero reason to use a DVD. Covered several times in the Mint install docs, and easily found with a brief Google search:

And the "I'm so old" excuse won't get you much, so stop it please. You've done it in other threads as well; you are seemingly capable of using Linux, downloading things, etc., so that means you can also read and follow instructions. Lots of folks on this site are older as well.

I concur with the others. If you have the capability of burning an optical disk on another machine, do that, then use it for the install.

Nevertheless, a web search for "linux mint dvd for sale" will turn up a number of likely-looking hits. What might complicate it is finding the precise release version you are looking for.

I cannot vouch for any of them, so I recommend that you vet them thoroughly.

My BIOS will boot from a floppy disc, then a cd or dvd, and then the hard drive. I have tried using Brassero to burn a DVD in every setting but the most I get is the Mint image and then blurry lines.

How about you give the specs for this computer? People can advise what distros would run best, including any of the versions of Mint.

cousinlucky - your computer is almost certainly 32-bit. Mint 20 is 64-bit only.

You need to find a distro that still supports 32-bit machines.

What "orders"?? That is a Mint forum article on how to put the Mint ISO onto a thumbdrive. All the tools mentioned are free. Nothing on there is 'for order'.

Perhaps, but wouldn't this be a lot easier with a statement of the computer specs?
