Arrow Dual Booting; Asus Eee 4G PC (701)-WebCam or Not, Max DDR2 667. AccDamProt. Car-Free!

Anybody Dual Booting the Asus `Xandros' & normal old crappy M$ XP Pro OK? My trusty Z71 gave up the ghost, not sure how to fix it. Now that PC 4G (701) Galaxy Black model (w/ WebCam) is actually out, been on the real retail market (Buy.com, NewEgg) > week.

What BIOS settings does Asustek have that will allow LT Users to select which place to boot from if desiring to boot from SSD, or via SD card slot or 2nd card in a reader in the USB slot?

* * Only 1 SoDimm slot=CONFIRMED! Would like to attempt 2GB DDR2667 if possible! WORKS! * * Heard it voids the warranty!

Main desire is Skype use (preferred updated M$ version earlier this year over the Linux Skype). 2nd is email which makes GNU/Linux Opera or FF my choice of browser.

IYHO(s) is the `4G 701' worth the extra 50 USD over the `Surf' (which has less battery life 2.8 vs 3.5 hrs + lacks WebCam-but can buy separate for <50?)
Or is the installed/integrated webcam version a better interface choice??

?*?*? Read somewhere Asus covers w/ 2 year warranty including Accidental Damage Protection ?*?*?

Is there any reason not to go w/ this model for someone that is `Car-Free', ie rides human powered vehicles or walks everywhere??
