Installing Linpus Lite on Notebook

I just downloaded the Linpus Lite Live CD from linpus.com and I don't see any way to do a persistent install of it. Linpus only seems to make a Live CD of the OS, but I haven't found any forums, wikis, etc dedicated to Linpus or Linpus Lite.

Is there a standard way in Linux to turn a Live CD into an installed OS on the hard drive?

Thumbs up

Greetings!

Just downloaded Linpus - the splash screen says that it is "Version 9.4 Lite"
and found a README on the CD that refers to an install script:-
Quote:
1. if you want to install Linpus Linux Lite version on your harddisk
or usb storage(bootable), run it:

./make_disk.sh /dev/hda1

2. In the directory of tools, there are all useful.

3. how to make iso file.
../mkisofs.sh ../test.iso
Have NOT experimented with it yet, so cannot say if it works.

HTH

All the best, Ben

Me too... or any version of Linux that's free.

So far, I'm on my 5th version, no luck.
