Usb Flash Drive showing up as two separate drives; neither accessable

It did work fine before I formatted it several times from windows. It is a MOBILE swingdrive and their site says you can format it and it will work fine and it does on Windows just not suse linux.

I tried formatting with fat, fat32 from windows. And tried formattig it from suse linux with fat, reiserfs. All of them did the same thing. I plug in the device, it shows up on desktop as two separate drives taht I cannot access. They even have a removable drive property but there are two of them not one. One is always "Removable Drive" and the other is always "the volume label".

Yes, there is only one partition on the drive and it is primary. I'm assuming Windows made it active when I formatted it.

Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?
