can't read from USB barcode scanner


Hi all!

I have attached to my system USB barcode scanner Cipher-1000

# cat /etc/sysconfig/hwconf

For checking device do the follow
# cat /dev/ttyUSB0
when scan barcode and ... NOTHING !!!

What & where I do not right ????

P.S. scanner checked under MS WS 2003.
