Check this out. I re-installed a totally fresh copy of Red Hat 7.2, without KDE installed at all.
Then, I downloaded all of the redhat 7.2 rpms from the ftp.kde.org.
Then, I typed the following command in the directory where I have all the rpms, and this is the result:
