Does anyone know if the Abit kg7 Raid board works under Linux? It is a most awesome baord, with 6PCI slots, up to 4 GB DDR RAM, and an AMD chipset. It earns my respect. However, does Linux support this board.
just read the spec's and don't see anything that would cause it to not work with linux. the on-board I.R. port may be a challenge to configure but other than that it looks good. i'm sold on abit, (have a kt-7 now, with a t-bird processor) and it was a breeze to configure. they're also an overclockers dream, all the voltage levels/processor speeds are adjustable from the bios.
I got a kt7e last week with a 1.2ghz athlon. Now it seems i made the wrong choice, as i don't think you can overclock the board past 1.2 anyway (well in softmenu III at least). I think i should of course have goen for a kt7 and a athlon 1ghz266fsb and overclocked it to 1.2... nrrggg. bum.
