Hi,
Do you know any free host which allows nagios installation?
It's also fine if there's a (very) cheap one- time fee.
Please answer only if you can help (even a little).
Thanks
I'm running one myself to tinker with various side projects. The free instance comes with an Amazon-branded, slightly modified RHEL installation. If you're knowledgeable with Linux, you should be able to run Nagios from there (for a year, anyway!).
[ disclosure: I do not work for Amazon, and I don't get paid to refer you to their service. ]
Thanks, good to know. I hope they allow packages installation.
edit: I signed in using my Amazon account, but it says that it can take a few minutes for the account to become active.
Those few minutes already passed.
Do you know what's the matter?
Oye, that's a question for Amazon support. And yes - you can install packages from their repositories, or you can download and roll your own if you're so inclined.
Thanks a lot.
I'm still unable to login to ec2. maybe I should sign up to ec2 even though I signed up for Amazon web services...
edit: They ask for a credit card. Do I must give them my credit card even for the free service? looks like there's no other option...
