Depends what you call a decent GUI. There is 2diskX, which is probably the smallest, as it fits on two floppy disks. Then there is BasicLinux with X, which takes up 13MB. But for a complete but lightweight distro nothing beats VectorLinux.
try damn small linux. it is very small in size (50MB) and is very portable. It is a business card size distro that boot from a cd and uses the fluxbox GUI. You could do an install if you'd like.
