Having finished the T155 course and overloaded my Ubuntu machine with programs I finally decided it was time for a change.
I use Debian at work (for it's stability)so decided to stick with the same so installed Debian 5 (Lenny). Thankfully I had but my home directory into a separate partition.
About 3 hours later I'd installed CrunchBang! Two days later I installed Mint. I've now been with Mint for 3 days and find it very comfortable to work with. I've also showed it off to a couple of people at work who were impressed at how good it looked and easy to install new software.
For me it pays to stay with the Debian tree(?) of distributions at home as it helps with the stuff I do at work. Apart from having read a few reviews and tried a live boot disc what drew me to Mint was remembering those people on the T155 course who raved about it. But the other thing I can remember from the course is I don't recall any other distro's getting the same amount of kudos.
So, after all the above I was wondering what others use and why?
