My times are all an hour off (showing the Phillies vs. Yankees at 2:05pm instead of 1:05pm) and the active games aren't bold, but I don't care because it's working. As usual, the Yankees are treating this like a World Series pregame with silly music and player introductions, but soon the Phillies will be stomping them.
EDIT: Ugh, now yet another Steinbrenner tribute.

Reason: Yankee hatred
FYI, I completely reformatted my Ubuntu 10.10 machine about a month ago and forgot to reinstall mlbviewer until just a few minutes ago. Glad to report that other than editing the config file in /home/user/.mlb and pulling the code from svn, there was nothing manual to do. Installing svn, python, rtmpdump, and mplayer could all be done via the Ubuntu Software Center. Going from scratch to mlbviewer took about 5 total minutes. Beautiful.
I got the autobahn.jar from the unsupported site but I only show version 109. When I try to watch the game in NexDef in the browser, it redirects me to a popup asing me to upgrade my plugin. It offers me the MacOS plugin. Interestingly, the version of the jar inside the v115 macos installer is actually 108. Where are you getting 115?
This is fascinating. I don't know what was up with the mac installer I grabbed, but the file you sent me is a more recent version, despite the fact that the jar is about a third of the size of previous versions. I'll play around with this when there are more games on. Thanks!
so, the good news is that it looks like they probably won't change anything for the regular season if NexDef is already implemented.
Actually, I would not make that statement. They always roll out last year's service offering in Spring Training while they finish development on the current year offering. Expect things to be okay in Spring Training. Then you can expect things to go haywire in the last week or so of Spring Training as they beta test the new offering. It probably won't be running smooth until late April or May.
Until they roll out the new offering, mlbviewer will pretty much be as-is unless there is some major bug to fix. Not going to deal with nexdef until the new offering either.

Times off by an hour? And you are already in Eastern Time? Weird. Eh, don't sweat it. The clocks are changing in a couple weeks. If it's still off by an hour, let me know.

yeah you're probably right. I just can't remember them having Nexdef available for spring training before (am I wrong?) which led me to think that maybe they've already decided on using this player. they do always change the player though for the season so we'll see. I hope (for your sake ) that you're wrong.
i'm having success watching the mlbviewer 1200k non-nexdef feed in VLC right now on my macbook. maybe the newer vlc versions will work better with mlbviewer?
