Mouse doesn't click what it's pointing to on screen . . . Sarge, 2.6

The arrow is a few pixels away from what it's actually pointing at, so double clicking a word in an editor will select a word on a different line if I'm not pointing below the word I want to select.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Nobody can help you if you don't post your system files in order anyone can help you. Maybe you just solved it on your own already. Cheers!!!
