Being a Texan myself. I find some to be quite out of touch with the world in general.

There are probably other far right members who post hate and discontent that are outside from Texas so I am not saying this is a Texan things alone.

I know I am not being fair and balanced because I only singled out a couple of posts aand quotes and only from a couple of members.
I can't remember all the threads and statements and members who have posted on this forum with some pretty "way out there opinions".
I live in Texas which is composed of of Mexicans, Gays, Rich right wingers, Neo-Nazis, KKK,Mexican Mafia, Negroes, Gangs, Rick Perry, and some real good folks also, (of all races and sexual orientation and income levels).
People just amaze me sometimes on what they post on the net. Still fighting the good fight by resisting becoming a bitter old prick
who can not abide other human beings beliefs or sexual orientation or life style choices or living conditions or skin color.
Even the Hateful ones. Though they make me afeared some times.

Queer Marriage and Sodomy. Being fed to you. As legit.
Who would think Vietnam still North and South? And, consider this fact,
Confuscious never Married. Why and who thinking Queer?
The way Mexicans carry their bags?

You value personal freedom too much. Each individual is but a kog in the human machinery. Individuals have very little value on their own. It's not your life or body: you are a cell that is a part of a greater organism: mankind -- and it is your duty to do what you can to aid its future survival. Everyone who doesn't is useless... a cell that's not doing what it's supposed to. Therefore the government has the right to dictate that you should not use drugs recreatively. It's not oppression -- it's symbiosis.

Fascism works out very well in practice, because it's not just intellectual nonsense or empty rhetoric.
Quote:
The goal of any animal species, including humans, is to survive. Therefore it's morally sound to put the common good above individual freedom. Therefore we should ban it and everything else that has a negative impact on public health or is of a decadent nature, and then crack down on it with draconian penalties.

"You value personal freedom too much. Each individual is but a kog in the human machinery. Individuals have very little value on their own."
This is a collectivist and very sinister and dangerous way of thinking that has no respect for human rights.
How can any sovereign human think like this?
America was founded on individual rights. There are no collective or group rights in the constitution or bill of rights of the United States. They are all individual rights.
There is no group anyway! You can not know a group. You can not have a relationship with a group. You can not touch a group. You can only know and touch and have relationships with individuals.
Just consider the idea of a forest. What is a forest anyway? Humans see a large number of trees in a given area and call it a forest, but in the natural world, there is no forest, there are only trees. The concept of a forest, like a group, is merely an abstraction of the human mind.
The collectivist believes that the individual can be sacrificed for the good of the group.
The individualist believes that all life is sacred.
The individual is more important than the group!!!Posted 10-27-2013 at 12:12 AM by tommcd -
I copied a quote from one guys signature not too long ago: "A nation is a group of persons united by the common error of their ancestry and a common dislike of their neighbors." -Karl W. Deutsch
But that wont say much for the planet ether at least for some time. . . . . . . ☮✌
"Ours is not to reason why. Ours is but to do and die"
—Alfred Lord Tennyson
Had that last one in the same text file but now doesn't make much sense to me.
Why wouldn't we reason if given one or the opportunity to take it?Posted 10-27-2013 at 12:48 AM by jamison20000e -
Context is everything.
'Forward, the Light Brigade!'
Was there a man dismay'd ?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Some one had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
