Apache mod_gzip

normaly on by default but check

grep 'mod_deflate' /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

and add the following to httpd.conf

#
# Deflate output configuration
#
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html text/plain text/xml text/css
BrowserMatch ^Mozilla/4 gzip-only-text/html
BrowserMatch ^Mozilla/4\.0[678] no-gzip
BrowserMatch \bMSIE !no-gzip !gzip-only-text/html

    I don't use apache httpd. and I don't have that path. even if I had why should I do it?
