Using FreeFileSync for Backups of personal data

There are many ways to backup your personal data to a second drive or elsewhere.

I currently use FreeFileSync (FFS).

Installing FreeFileSync (FFS)
:

First create a new folder in the backup drive called TARGET_Home, or similar.

Download FFS for Linux from:
https://freefilesync.org/download.php

(There are plenty of screenshots and tutorials available there also).

Right click on the FreeFileSync_13.1_Linux.tar.gz...

Using a Live Linux DVD (USB drive) to retrieve personal data

One way to retrieve personal data from a problematic hard drive or computer is to boot from a Live Linux DVD or USB drive.
I used Linux Mint 19.2 MATE 64-bit on a SanDisk USB drive.

Create bootable media:

Boot Linux Mint:

Immediately after booting the computer it is necessary to repeatedly...
