    Fight for Freedom - Long Live Linux!

    Right...the GPL enforces slavery, only the other way around. It's preferable to proprietary licenses, though, because you don't have to pay for it, right?

    What about the developer? What if he decides to release the binaries of his modifications, but not the source? Less freedom still, isn't it?

    The BSD/ISC licenses are freedom. GPL is not.
